We are now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year! Be ready to pay the enrollment fee and submit prior year report cards when you apply! Families will be directed to schedule a family meeting and new student assessment after applying as well.

Classroom Updates!

Parents please make sure students are submitting their work on time! Thank you for your continued support.

1st Grade

Here is a look at what was covered this week! 

Math 
– Students worked on making change using coins.
– Introduced fractions and described e
qual parts, half of, third of, fourth of parts.

ELA 
Worked on reading comprehension and character development, specifically characters point of view. 

Islamic Studies
Focus lesson was on Eid and Eid Al-Fitr traditions, prayer and celebrations. 

Science 
For science we are not using out accelerate curriculum. The final science unit will focus on life cycles specifically on plants and animals. 

Writing
Students continued to work on developing their focus writing on their small moment. For this week we “drew it out” and added details. 

2nd Grade

Here is a look at what was covered this week! 

Math 
– Continued to develop math concept on fractions and described equal parts, half of, third of, fourth of parts.
– Solved simple problems with fractions.

ELA 

Identify the main topic of a multiparagraph text as well as the focus of specific paragraphs within the text. 

Islamic Studies
Focus lesson was on Eid and Eid Al-Fitr traditions, prayer and celebrations. 

Science 
For science we are not using out accelerate curriculum. The final science unit will focus on life cycles specifically on plants and animals.  

Writing
Students continued to work on developing their focus writing on their small moment. For this week we focused on expanding our writing by “stretching it out.”
